Personality: Ryo isn’t as crazy as previous 11th division captains, but he sure loves fighting. He probably the second most powerful captain in soul society, seeing as how he is the leader of the division known for its power. He can easily kill anyone, both physically and mentally. Although, if he is in his normal, lazy mood, he probably won’t kill unless you look formidable. He is also an ass to most of the people he knows and only shows acts of kindness to true friends. He likes eating, sleeping and fighting. He dislikes weaklings in his Division, and people who use to much kido, he sees this as a sign of physical weakness.

History: Ryo was, on earth, a normal college student in the 1800s in japan, but was drafted into the imperial army for an invasion of Korea. It was there where Ryo learned to first use a sword, and he was quite good at it. Unfortunately for him, he lost his life in a battle and was sent to sector 70. He there had voices in his head and then when he was told about soul reapers, it all made sense. He then bonded with his sword and quickly discovered his blades release. He was then chosen to be in 11th division, specifically a lieutenant. It was there that discovered his bankai and started to train with it. Then, one day, his division commander (who was a douchebag) killed Ryo’s best friend, who was fighting the captain for his spot. Ryo, enraged, fought and killed the captain and took his blood soaked captains robe and threw it at one of his new appointed men. “Wash it” he said in a calm but deadly voice. Of course the man did as he said he has stayed the commander ever since then.

Shikai Abilities: Sword is able to "absorb" most energy and elemental attacks, example, Zens Aura and Kaze's wind, turn them in to raw rietsu in his sword, condense them as if condensing water, and then eject it in a condensed form in slashes and stabs, making them very effective. This sword cannot absorb touchable objects, aka poison, ice, earth, water and more powerful attacks aka Ryus lightning. The sword also regenerates when damaged using the stored energy.

Bankai Name: bodi haijo

Bankai Appearance: Same as shikai and is coated in yellow reiatsu that resembles a Dragon
Bankai Abilities: The sword does the same as the shikai but also channels it to his body, giving him the large amount of reiatsu that makes him extremely fast and strong and he is also able to regenerate quickly from fast, fatal blows (like degeneration and acid)

Other Notable Abilities: He has a insane level of reiatsu, so much that he has to put it into 5 viles that he drinks to get an extra boost, and when fully boosted he has slightly less reiatsu than the captain commander and his level is still way above average when it is not drunk. He is also stronger than most soul reapers physically and uses hand to hand combat with his weak opponents
